Meet Mr. Paul Newton Jr.
I started my cigar venture 25 years ago as a novice to cigars. I started just like most people trying different types of cigars from mild , medium and I finally settled at full body cigars, I found them more robust and flavorful. I then experimented with pairing with different types of adult libations (bourbon, whiskey, rums, scotches and wines). I was very intrigued with the flavor change when pairing the different notes and flavors. My curiosity began to grow. I want to learn the anatomy of the cigar, what made the different types of notes in the cigars. I met a gentleman who is very experienced well versed in cigars who also happened to be a cigar sommelier, cigar roller and expert in his field who was highly respected. His name is Don Vincente also known as the Don of cigars. He was a blender for Padron and Cohiba. He became my mentor and teacher. I was fortunate to experience his teachings, He taught me the art of cigar rolling and that was the beginning of my knowledge. From his teachings my curiosity grew. I gained my diploma in the whiskey, scotch, Rye and cigar parings from the Scotch Master Class university. I gained knowledge in pairings for cigars, food and my pallet grew. I am a strong believer and lover of the Leaf. I still strived for more knowledge. Since my journey has begun, I have produced several brands of cigars in which I have personally created. They have become popular among some cigar lovers. I will continue to formulate different blends of cigars that are very pleasing to your pallet. My journey continues. With the Butt & Ash brand and believes.
